Application
The product is used in casthouse for the manufacture of high quality aluminium alloy in
applications such as rolling ingot for foilstock or canstock, or billet for precision extrusions and high quality foundry cast alloys.
It can substitute for Silicon metal and AlSi master alloy to adjust precisely composition of alloying melt. The product can be added into liquid aluminium directly.
Usage suggestion
1. Calculate the quantity of Fast Melting Silicon that need to be added.
2. Adding method (two options):
1). Put Fast Melting Silicon under the bottom of furnace averagely along with other charges material before
melting (same usage method with Silicon metal).
2). Put Fast Melting Silicon into the liquid dispersedly after slagging off the liquid surface, when the temperature
is above 740℃.
3. Wait for 1-5 minutes (don’t stir now)
4. Stir for 1-5 minutes
5. Analyse final Si content of the liquid
*Remark: It should be added into liquid aluminium by batches. Don't let it pile up.
